family time

So the family got together this weekend and did a little day-trip to Callaway Gardens. I feel incredibly lucky to live so close to such a gorgeous place. Winter is ‘down time’ for the gardens – there aren’t any flowers out, and all the crazy Spring & Summer activities are closed down for the season. But that didn’t dampen our spirits any, and there was more than enough to fill our day.

After a brilliant down-home southern lunch at the Country Store (mmmmm… fried catfish!), we got to see the Butterfly Habitat, an old Pioneer Cabin, and a thrilling ‘Birds of Prey’ show. We wandered all over & had a blast… we even took a stroll out by the docks as things wound down.

It was such a gorgeous day, and I felt blessed to be able to spend it with family. Thought I’d share just a few of the shots I got while we were out & about…
